MD Anderson Cancer Center
Currently, I am doing research in bone metastases of kidney cancer at MD Anderson Cancer Center while I am attending clinic twice weekly at GU Medical oncology department. My main goal is to pursue career in hematology/oncology with strong focus on research. Working on a problem of metastatic kidney cancer, I got inspired by significant gap in knowledge about current treatments’ mechanism of action in the metastatic sites, such as bone. Hence, I am interested to dedicate my future research to mechanism of immunotherapy and tyrosine kinase inhibitors, their interaction as well as ways of tumor cells evasion from therapeutic pressure. I believe that strong research in basic science in correlation with analysis in patients’ samples will lead to more rational design of future clinical trials, potential sequencing of the combined treatments and discovery of new approaches.
