Ulka Vaishampayan, MD, is a Professor of Internal Medicine, Leader of the Translational and Clinical Research Program and the Director of the Phase 1 Program at the University of Michigan Rogel Cancer Center. She serves as the Chair of the SWOG Advanced Renal Committee, a member of the National Cancer Institute (NCI) Renal Task Force, and a board member of the Michigan Society of Hematology/Oncology. Dr. Vaishampayan specializes in the treatment of genitourinary malignancies, including prostate cancer, bladder cancer, and renal cell carcinoma, and her research focuses on translational drug development. She is PI of the Dept of Defense Kidney Cancer Consortium site and is a recipient of the DOD Kidney cancer Clinical Trial Award in 2023. She has completed leadership training and has acquired the prestigious Fellowship of the Advisory Board (FAB). She leads the "Women in RCC" initiative on behalf of the KCA.
