I am medical oncologist trained in Chile and formally trained again at the National Cancer Institute National Institutes of Health, Bethesda MD, obtaining my second oncology fellowship. Additionally, I have received direct lung cancer training from prestigious investigators such as Guiseppe Giacconne MD and medical Oncology mentorship by Antonio Fojo. My main interest are immuno-oncology specific diseases such as GU oncology lung cancer and melanoma and areas in medicine like Health policy and biostatistics.
I was editor of the Seminar in Oncology journal and currently I am one of the editors of Journal of Thoracic Oncology.
I have participated in more than 70 publications in indexed journals and have written several medical oncology books chapters.
Director of Bradford Hill clinical research center and have participated as principal investigator in more than 40 cancer clinical trials.
